Our Story – Expanding Continuously
Fornax originates from a company founded in 1983 by Joseph Rae, J.Rae & CIE Ltée (La Dorade); a family business specialized in the trade of specialty equipment and ingredients for the bread and bakery industry. The company expands its activities in Mauritius, Madagascar, Mayotte, Rodrigues and Seychelles and is nowadays headed by the 3rd generation of the family.
After 35 years of operations, we take a decisive turning point in 2017 motivated by the desire to offer an even more exclusive service and divided our two departments in two separate companies: J.Rae & CIE (La dorade) now focuses only on specialty ingredients while all activities related to the trade of equipment become FORNAX.
Supported by this new dynamic, the company constantly evolves to stay up to date with the latest technical innovations in the field of equipment, so as to always satisfy its customers and meet their needs.
